Written just before Humphrey's death in 1958, this book is her autobiography in art, a gathering of her experiences in performance and a lucid and practical source book on choreography.  (Not available at this time)

One of my favourite books on dancing!  Murray Silberling if affectionately known as the "dancing rabbi" in Messianic Jewish circles.  He brings years of experience in worship dance and teaching worship dance to this book. He offers encouragement to the "klutz"--the clumsy person, who doesn't think dancing is for him.  He also confronts the fallacy that dancing is only for women.  He demonstrates how dance has been used through the ages as a way to worship God.  Excellent especially for those who have a vision for congregational dance.  (1995)

Kane's easy-to-follow format lets you choose the right movement for different parts of worship, much as you would choose the right music.  VerEecke shares his personal account as a dancer--a theologian's conception of his art. Gagne provides a historical look at dance in worship and a chronology of the events which have shaped attitudes toward dance. Informative. Easily readable.  A practical guide, with scholarship to back it up.   $20.00
